Northwestern State University’s Office of Business Affairs is a composite of administrative units whose functions are to provide operational support in fulfilling the University’s primary mission and goal of being a responsible, student-oriented institution that is committed to creation, dissemination and acquisition of knowledge through teaching, research and service. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the divisions of Business Affairs’ Student Accounting and Cashiering, Accounting and Budgeting, and Purchasing units. The Business Affairs’ Office is dedicated to providing personal, prompt and efficient service to all students and campus offices, support for the University’s fiscal operations and accurate and timely financial reporting that is compliant with state and federal guidelines and regulations.

  1. Introduction: The User Guides have been developed and are available on-line for each employee who has fiscal responsibilities. Information in the User Guides is comprehensive in nature and is necessary for employees to fully carry out their fiscal responsibilities. To this end, the ensuing material should be carefully reviewed. If assistants is needed, please contact the Business Affairs Office. Periodically there will be revisions to the information contained herein. Each User’s Guide is dated to reflect the date of the latest revision.
