About Us
SPO offers NSU faculty grants-writing workshops locally, as well as seminars delivered via the world-wide web (“webinars”) broadcast by governmental (national) and private funding agencies throughout the academic year. Sponsored Programs advises faculty on matters of policy and procedure as it relates to the submission of proposals for external funding and grant and contract administration.
More specifically, the office assists in identifying potential extramural funding sources, developing proposal budgets and narratives, completing standardized application forms, assuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and negotiating grant awards and contracts.
SPO will formulate, establish, and provide service-based oversight for a comprehensive, well-balanced program designed to enhance the competitiveness of scholarly activities and specialized projects.
